Estrquat is a cationic surfactant that is produced from the reaction of methyl ester of fatty acids with an alkanolamine (triethanolamine) and then its conversion to quaternary ammonium with dimethyl sulfate. This substance is often used as a softener and antistatic agent in making softeners.
